A Venezuelan-born artist whose foundation in design, graffiti, and fine art shapes every tattoo he creates in New York City.

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Luis Farrera grew up surrounded by a vibrant creative culture. He was winning graffiti competitions by the age of 17 — developing an instinct for composition, color theory, and how an image interacts with a surface.
He graduated with honors in industrial design, giving him something most tattoo artists never formally learn: structured visual thinking. The ability to see how form, weight, and balance work together before a single line is drawn.
After building his practice in Miami, a 2020 opportunity brought him permanently to New York. He now works from his private Soho studio — pieces designed to last, photograph beautifully, and feel elevated in person.

After building a strong portfolio in Miami, Luis relocated to New York in 2020. That move cemented his position among the city's serious collectors and high-end tattoo clientele.
Working from 132 Crosby St, 4th floor, his studio serves clients from all five boroughs and collectors who travel specifically for his work. He also rotates through select guest spots throughout the year.
Every piece is designed before it's drawn. Placement, flow, and how the tattoo interacts with the body are considered from the start.
Luis designs for longevity — considering how contrast, saturation, and detail will hold up over years, not just in fresh photos.
No flash, no repeats. Every client receives a concept built specifically for their idea, skin tone, and placement.
